Is it possible to detect acetylcholine in brain tissue homogenate using HPLC-ECD?

Acetylcholine is  difficult to detect in brain tissue sample because of enzymes present, which quickly degrade acetylcholine even after sacrifice. While technically possible, the only known method to get accurate measurements in tissue sample is by microwave radiation in live animals. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/0006899372907202

Thus, we cannot recommend acetylcholine detection in tissue samples.  Instead, we recommend microdialysis for detection of acetylcholine.
