Tomy SX autoclave does not reach the programmed temperature using an independent temperature sensor. What do I do?

The Tomy SX autoclave unit is programmed to start sterilization once the internal temperature sensor reaches the programmed value.  However, there can be a delay in heat transfer, especially if there is liquid inside the bucket.   The temperature inside the chamber may not reach the desired temperature when the timer starts, thus we recommend extending the time by 10 minute increments to offset the heat transfer to see if the temperature is reached.


An optional external sensor is available (installation required) to measure the time delay and can be placed inside the chamber.  Additionally, it can be used to start the timer instead of the standard internal sensor.  Please contact us for a quote for the optional external sensor by clicking the link below:
